Throwback Thursday #BearFood2016
It’s been a few months since I did a Throwback Thursday post, so I thought today would be the perfect time since I’m headed back to the desert this weekend!
A few summers ago, we took our first #BearFood trip - a name we coined straight from our National-Park-junkie-hearts.
In May 2016, we left Dallas in the rearview mirror on the first day of summer. Bry had finished his job as a principal on a Friday and we were in the car Saturday morning, The Hills Mobile packed tight. After planning this trip for ten months, we were ready to make it happen! Our two week #bearfood2016 adventure took us to Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona, Zion National Park in Utah, Yosemite National Park in California, and Kings Canyon/Sequoia National Parks in California. It still doesn't feel like real life when I look back through these photos.
We hiked countless miles, explored secret corners of the parks, hiked the famous Narrows in Zion, crossed off bucket list items, and met some great people along the way. It was a DREAM.
International travel is fun, but there are so many places to explore right here in our own backyard in America.
These photos are just a few of my favorites from our desert adventures that summer. I can’t wait to go back someday!
